Help Shape the Safety of Agility Across Canada
The AAC Board of Directors is seeking Members in Good Standing who are interested in serving on the Equipment and Safety Committee (ESC).
The ESC plays an important role in promoting consistency and safety across Canadian agility. The committee works to support uniformity in equipment specifications, design, construction practices, approval processes, and safety, and reviews equipment safety concerns and reports of injuries involving approved equipment from an evidence-based, non-medical perspective.
Current opportunities are available for:
-
Alberta/Northwest Territories – 3-year appointment
-
Ontario West – 2-year appointment
-
Nova Scotia/Newfoundland/Labrador – 2-year appointment
We are looking for members with a strong understanding of agility and dog safety who are willing to actively participate in committee discussions and deliberations. Relevant experience may include knowledge of AAC Rules and Regulations, canine injury factors, competing at all levels of agility, equipment design or construction, equipment and trial site inspections, or statistics and data analysis.
Interested in contributing? Submit your name for consideration, along with a letter outlining your interest and relevant experience, to your Regional Director by October 21, 2026.
Additional information about the ESC is available in the Equipment and Safety Committee Policies and Procedures in the Members Only section of the AAC website.
